For my project, I decided to make a wreath for my cousins son to give to his Kindergarten teacher on the first day of school. I've seen a few of those Crayon wreaths posted on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect for Kindergarten and decided to give it a try!
I created my wreath base using 2 embroidery hoops (a 12" and an 8") and a box of 64 crayons and a box of 24 crayons. This could be done using the one 64 box, but I wanted to avoid using brown. I then hot glued them on to the hoops.
I wanted to decorate my wreath using school items, so I used several files to achieve the look I was going for.
School Day Bookworms set: Apple with worm and the stack of books
Cutesy School Owls set: School bus and the chalkboard
For the name, I used some dies that I had on hand-- Jaded Blossom Alphabet Dies and Stitched Square Dies. The cute little "#1 Teacher" phrase is also from Jaded Blossom off of their School Time Greetings set.
So now that I shared my project, come share yours! Come join us in the challenge, can't wait to see your fabulous creations!
