Shoptastic Cuties - Party Present Cutie Birthday Card

Happy Saturday Doodle Bug Fans,

Today I would like to share with you a birthday card I made KaDoodle Bug Designs Shoptastic Cuties - Party Present Cutie file.

I used the the jpg file to print and cut this present out with my Silhouette Cameo.  Accented with Wink of Stella glitter pens and Gelly Roll pens.

Of course I had to put this little cutie on a action wobble.

The file I used can be found by clicking HERE.

You're the BOMB!

Today I made another shape card set using the file:

Instructions:
Ungroup the pieces
Duplicate the base piece
Move the duplicated piece away from the other pieces
Duplicate it again
Flip that piece
Insert a square that you have turned to a rectangle
With the duplicated pieces, move them a bit apart so when they are folded on to each other, they can do so freely without their sides folding over the other (See the picture of the part circled blue).
Weld the rectangle to the duplicated pieces.
Insert and attach a score line vertically in the center of the newly formed piece.
Fold in half at the scoreline.
Glue pieces to the folded piece.

This can be applied to any file you wish to use.

Have fun crafting!

Love You to Pizza's Valentine's Card

Happy Sunday Doodle Bugs,

Have you ever been in a position that you need to create a card fast and don't have time to cut all the pieces of the file out, ink them and put them all together.   Well that's one nice thing about the KBD because the files you purchase or get from the "Freebie of the Week", you not only get a SVG file but you also get jpg files of all the images which you can print and then cut them out fairly easily and quickly

I was in that position last week.  I was crazy busy at work so when I get home I was just too tired to spend a lot of time on making a Valentine's Day card for my hubby.   I knew I had to use the KBD Love you to Pizza's file because we both love pizza and almost have it once a week.

So I used my Silhouette Cameo to print and cut the adorable pizza and title from this file.

To use the jpg, I open it in my Silhouette Design Studio software, trace it using the tracing tool and then crop it to remove the white background.   I then offset it to put a little white border around the image select to cut that offset line, group the image and the offset line.  I then changing my cutting format to Print and Cut and print on my printer.  After it prints, I put it on my mat and cut it out on my Cameo.

I accented him with white Gelly Roll pen and I accented the title with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen.    Used a deep red card stock for the base of the card, stripped paper for the mat and used a die cut to cut out the polka dotted mat.   Added the title and pizza and I was done.

Easy Peasy and here is my finished card.

Oh and I had to put him on an Action Wobble.
Had to make it dance with happy love.

Hubby got a chuckle out of this card and I hope you did too.

Little Love Bugs

Today I have more cuteness for you.

Little Love Bugs is a new file from
Kadoodle Bug Designs.

When I was little my mom had some China dolls that had bobbleheads.
I can remember making the heads bounce.
When I saw the Little Love Bugs file, I
could see their heads bobbling up and down and around like
my mom's dolls did.

I cut to black pieces (used to glue the pieces on) of the boy and girl.
I glued the head on one and cut the rest off that I didn't glue on. For the girl I cut two the hair pieces and glued them to the back piece also.
I put a Wobble Spring on the back of their heads and attached them to the back pieces.

(I apologize for the sideways video. I am not great with videos yet.)

I added ink to the edges, Stickles to some parts, and 3D foam squares for more dimension.

The Wobble springs could be used on many of the Kadoodle Bug Design files.
Can't wait to see what you create.
