Under the Sea Challenge

This is Sukie and today I am hosting a challenge in the KBD Challenges Facebook Group. The challenge runs from today until June 30th and the theme is "Under the Sea".  In order to participate all you have to do is join the KBD Challenges Facebook Group and submit a project with the "Under the Sea" theme.  The project needs to be posted in the group prior to June 30th for a chance to win a KBD file of your choice.  For my inspiration project, I created a fun and whimsical birthday card with the Sailor Seahorses file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  I left off the seahorse's sailor hat.  I did a bit of embossing with the Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles embossing folder for a bit of dimension.

The top of the anchor was wrapped with some Twisted Teal Trendy Twine as an accent. The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms More Mini Messages (retired) stamp set and was stamped on a hand cut flag.  The finishing touch was some iridescent enamel dots.

KBD Sailor Seahorses

Hello crafty Friends, and happy Spring to you all.  It is a lovely day out my window and I am thinking about sunshiny days I used to have at the beach and vacations in the past at the ocean.. I miss them.  Unfortunately those days are over for me and so I must reminisce.  In doing so I thought I would use KaDoodle Bug Designs newer file... Sailor Seahorses

I decided to go through my box of scraps (It is getting big) and put together a "Congratulations" card in Easel style..it is a 6x6 card....

One of my favorite colors from Close to My Heart  is Lagoon.  Purple and lagoon look good together don't you think?   If you think this file is as cute as I do..head to Melissa's shop and take a look around, she adds great files often!!
