Today I am sharing a Christmas step easel card made with the KaDoodle Bug Designs file, "Christmas Night Penguin" and a pattern I created in Cricut Explore's Design Space.
MATERIALS
KBD pattern "Christmas Night Penguin
Cricut Design Space file: https://us.cricut.com/design/#/canvas/33985165
Cardstock in white, red, medium green, dark green, brown, orange, purple, pink, blue, yellow and winter outdoor print and red snowflakes
Christmas prints papers
Transparency film or acetate
Tape runner and/or glue
Use the outdoor print cardstock for the back panel and the red snowflake for the top trim and the smaller panels in the base. Use the Christmas prints papers for the other base pieces. Cut the front panel from transparency film or clear acetate. Fold the base on the fold lines so it creates a mountain, valley, mountain, valley, mountain. Glue the background panel to the first large flap on the base, and the bottom of the transparency front piece to the small
piece at the other end of the base. (Fold the base flat before attaching, to insure the card will lie flat for mailing.) Attach the front to the back at the top using the folded red snowflake trim piece. The KBD pattern was adjusted so the window frame measured 4 3/4 inches x 5 1/4 inches. The tree is 4 1/2 inches tall including the star and the penguin is 3 inches tall. Attach the snow to the inside of the window transparency, the rest of the pieces to the outside. The finished card measures 6 inches by 4 3/4 inches.
Have a great week and thanks for looking! ~ KBD DT Shirley
